Patriotism Begins At Home

We feel very strongly about patriotism at MCFN. To us it has never been a fad or the "thing to do". We were patriotic before it was cool! If you feel, as we do, that patriotism starts at home. If you agree that patriotism isn't something you do it is who you are!

If you are semper fi and oohrah because you have to be not because everyone else is doing it then this area of MCFN is perfect for you. Here you fill find out how we feel about patriotism as well as find ways to show your patriotism! We hope that here you will also learn about some of whom we feel have been true representatives of the American and USMC spirit.

As you can see, we have always felt very strongly about Patriotism. Please click on the following graphic to read more on how MCFN feels about patriotism in the past present and future! Supporting Our Troops at Home and at Sea

Nothing shapes a child the same as their heroes and nothing shapes a Marine like the those Marines past and present whose memory they strive to live up to. We read the stories about those Marines who have come before and can't help but be filled with awe and motivation at the heroic feats these men did under the most horrendous circumstances. Sometimes a Marines most heroic feats are those he did after he was out of the corps. What motivated you or your marine to become a United States Marine? Who are his heroes and whose story most inspires him? Come and share with us who your heroes are and learn some about the GySgt who is a hero to us!

In Memory
Through our memories
They'll never be forgotten

World Trade Center Memorial

A large part of being an American is our compassion and caring for all the people of the world regardless of their race, religion, or nationality. Most of important of this is taking care of the future, our children everywhere. Our President, George W. Bush, has created a relief fund to help the innocent children of Afghanistan to provide them with food, clothing, and healthcare. He has called for the children of America to earn just one dollar in any way they wish and send it to the American Fund for Afghanistan's Children. We call on our visitors to open their hearts and donate to this fund. The kindness we show now can make the difference in our future. Send all donations to:

We in the Marine Corps Family community mourn with the rest of the world for the losses in New York, Washington DC, and Pennsylvania. We continue to pray for those missing or recovering and their families and friends. This tragedy has affected people all over the world. And together we will all conquer this.

As family members and friends of those in the military, our prayers are with all those in military service. We are facing an enemy unlike any other before. But we take comfort knowing that our family members know their jobs and will do their best to protect us, the country, and themselves.

American Tragedy

Take a moment to read a moving essay written for school by a 10 year old boy in California. His parents being rightfully proud of him sent this to me to share with the world. I thank them for sending this our way.
