"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.." (1868) -John Stuart Mill (1806-1873)
We owe our military a greater debt than we could ever repay. Where would we be if everyone ran away when the time came to fight for our freedom? If everyone hid behind a curtain of self righteousness and condemnation.... Would we still be free? We need to thank those who are willing to sacrifice all to protect those freedoms that we hold most dear. What has become of us, when did we stray off the path of patriotism? Our forefathers had it. When World War 2 was going on did men flee to other countries or burn there draft cards? Did they do anything to keep from going? NO! During World War II they had a different problem. They had the problem of keeping those boys who were not yet old enough to go from going. We had boys as young as 12 sneaking off to war. Today we would be blessed to have that kind of patriotism again permeating our youth and adults. Today we sit on our hands and deplete our military. Today we argue for the right to burn a flag which stands for all that past service members have died for. It is a sad state in which we find ourselves. We can still regain that which we have lost. It is time to stand up and show the world that we respect our military and stand behind them in spirit! You too can take a stand, and show the world, that America is still a land of freedom and those willing to work for it. "The cost of freedom is eternal vigilence" Is your freedom, and the freedom of others, worth it to you?
Please join us in showing our support for our military while at sea, on foreign shores, or at home! Patriotism and support of our military is not something that should only be shown while we are involved in a foreign conflict, these are things we need to show everyday. It is how we show our thank for freedom that has been bought for us by past generations and our appreciation for those who protect it today!
One important way to support our military is to show compassion and support to their families while they themselves can not be there.
If you'd like to show your support with us please place this graphic on your site and if you think others would benefit from a good dose of patriotism please link the graphic to this site.
